Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.04 g, 6 h), Antiochia, 72-73. IMP CAES VESP AVG P M COS IIII Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. Palm tree; to left, Vespasian standing right, left foot set on helmet, holding spear in his right hand and parazonium in his left; to right, Judaea seated in attitude of mourning to right, her head resting on her hand. BMC 510. Cohen 645. RIC II 1558. RPC II 1930. A magnificent example, beautifully toned and very sharply struck, with a superb portrait. Thin flan crack and with tiny banker's marks on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
